Privacy Policy

The short version
Your dictation never leaves your computer. OrcaMED transcribes speech locally. We never receive, store, or process audio, transcripts, or any patient information.
What we do collect
To operate licenses we store the minimum account data on our servers:
- Your email address and a salted, hashed password.
- Subscription state (plan, status, paid-through date) from our payment processor.
- A one-way hashed device identifier for each computer you activate (we cannot recover the raw hardware ID from it), plus its self-reported name, platform, and app version.
- Timestamps of license check-ins.
That is the complete list. There is no analytics, tracking, or advertising identifier in the app.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our systems. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Where data lives
Account data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare). Since no health information is ever collected, no patient data resides on any server, in any country.
Your rights
Email us to access or delete your account data at any time. Deleting your account removes your credentials, devices, and license records; payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting law.
